Overview

IMMEDIATE OPENING for building construction CARPENTERS to join our growing self-perform team at Aboo Construction! We offer competitive pay. We've got a strong, well-established self-perform team to work in Chicagoland and are looking for individuals who are punctual, reliable, focused, hardworking, team-oriented, follow directions, and have a good attitude.

Under the guidance of the General Superintendent and direction of the site Superintendent, you'll perform a variety of carpentry tasks in support of completing our construction projects.

CARPENTER Responsibilities and Requirements

• Installation of light gauge metal framing both interior and exterior
• Installation of safety control measures
• Effectively works with standard carpentry tools and materials
• Complies with health and safety regulations
• Able to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects
• Follow established safety regulations
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Assists team as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience with carpentry
• Capable verbal and written communication skills
• Attentive to detail
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Follows direction
• Works in indoor and outdoor environment
