Laborer – Building Construction
Overview
JOIN US! Chicago-based General Contractor is looking for LABORERS to join our growing Field Team. Working in both commercial and residential building construction, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of completing our projects. This physically demanding job requires that you are physically fit, a hard worker, have a great attitude, and are reliable in your attendance. Laborer Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities
- Keep construction sites clear and clean by removing/addressing obstacles and hazards.
- Assist craft workers/skilled labor with installation/finishing drywall, taping, and painting among other tasks.
- Load/unload/move construction materials (some heavy) at the job site.
- Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
- Follow instructions from supervisors.
- Learn on the job as needed.
- Perform site clean-up including management of onsite debris/garbage.
- Works in Indoor and outdoor conditions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the construction industry required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a High School diploma or GED/equivalent.
- Able to do sustained physical labor and other strenuous tasks.
